Lunch with my mom...

It was nice to see my mom for a couple of hours, during a lay-over on her way to Cali... only the circumstances are so sad. Our family dog, Gunner, had to be put to sleep unexpectedly on Wednesday. He was my sister's best friend, so everyone is a bit worried about her. If I was heartbroken, I can't imagine how she is feeling... that's why my mom is on the way to visit her. I wish she could have gotten there Wednesday night, but things just aren't that easy... but Saturday is not too bad, and she'll keep my sis company for 2 months.

Unfortunately, a 2 hour lunch just isn't long enough, and it's hard to not be sad when I know why she is coming through... I hope she can help cheer my sister up a bit. I know she needs it...
